Audrey slept in this morning so she joined us for our morning backyard session in her nightgown. Later I caught her trying to climb back into her crib.. what child tries to climb IN a crib - aren't they supposed to be trying to get out at this age?
Evan finished his "countdown to NY" calendar. This will be his third calendar and he seems to really enjoy the process of not only making the calendar but choosing stickers to stick on appropriate days to represent what we will be doing on vacation. Problem was, we were out of stickers so we decided to print some off of the internet. Evan told me what he wanted and I looked them up. The '57 Thunderbird and ice cream cone were no problem but when he requested a boy building a model rocket----- try to find that on clipart.com ----- but i was on a mission and I found it. He also loves marking the days off at night before he goes to bed. This calendar idea came to life a year ago when I needed some relief from the "how many more days" question every day. The calendar helps him understand how long it is and also see the day come closer and closer.
Been keeping very busy so I am anticipating more days skipped here and there in the upcoming weeks. Today we had Connor over again while his mommy worked. We spent the day running errands and then having lunch in the park. The boys get along so well it is almost like a mini vacation having Connor around the entertain Evan so nicely for five hours. Audrey tagged along as usual. It is funny now with the mix of chlorine and sun her hair has lightened up so much she looks like she is bald on the top of her head and only has that ring of hair going round the sides and bottom (like George Costanza)......
I almost totally forgot to post these!! I took pics for this awesome family the other morning! We had such a great time hanging out and wondering about the Bicentennial Gardens! They are just the coolest people, I love when I'm taking pictures and it doesn't really feel like I'm working! LOL! It makes for a wonderful time!!
We had a great Saturday. We spent most of the day at Grammy and Pappy's house. My Aunt Trudy and Uncle Kevin came in town from Lenoir, NC. They brought along my cousin Matt, his wife Karen and daughter Mackenzie. It was nice to spend the day with everyone. Eric also came around and tortured poor Evan as usual.....all in good fun. Evan enjoyed meeting my cousin Matt and stuck to him like glue for a good part of the afternoon. He was even willing to leave with them saying, "bye mommy, you can come visit me." Nice. Then he saw Connor next door and decided to stay and play with him for awhile.
Taylor went to her friend Nicholas' birthday party today! It was at this really cool place called Bounce U. It's all indoors and has tons of bounce houses and slides for the kids! Taylor had such a great time! All the kids were so cute! We'll definitely have to take her back soon. But I'll tell ya what....it was a workout for the adults too! Its alot of work crawling around on and in these things! LOL!
Daddy playing dodgeball!!!
Look!! A picture of me!!
The kids playing baseball! Air blows up and holds the ball in mid air!
Taylor was fearless on all of the big slides!!

Weeeeeeeeee!!!!
Of course she found the race cars! LOL!
The birthday boy Nicholas!!
Poor Taylor saw the cupcakes before it was time to have them. She was not a happy camper until she got her cupcake!
Taylor and I played outside today for awhile! She's been pretty hesitant lately to play in our yard. We think its because she got bit on the legs by something awhile back. Jered thinks it may have been a spider bite, but we're not sure. So she hasn't played outside much, she's been real scared of the grass and the yard. I was really happy that she was walking around and playing today!!
